Evaluating Web Pages
Evaluating information found on the Internet is very important. Many new websites are created on an hourly basis and not all of them provide information that is accurate. There are many ways to be sure that information found on the Internet is trustworthy. Anyone can make a web page and evaluate its page but sites that really belong to the people they say they belong to have something in common. There are some ways to contact the people responsible for the site; usually an email address or sometimes they provide a phone number and there address too. The internet now a day is a relatively new and untested information and communication medium. As such as we need to evaluate, expand, and even adapt existing criteria for evaluating content, as well as develop new techniques. The internet is a ubiquitous medium aside from questions of affordability as it is very pervasive in both authorship and audience. A web address is now an international information and persuasion medium. Pages within the websites look similar, they may have the same background color or there will be the same logo on every page. Now with the evaluating of web pages it can be very well be an unregulated and unregulated medium as such it is the visitors to a website who must have both tools and responsibility to discern quality websites.
